A Fort Out Here In The Woods is a song performed by Kevin in the episode "Lair Necessities". During the song, Kevin reminisces to Fred about the fort in the woods they both spent time together in as children and thinks of the many ways they could renovate it into a secret lair for Hamster and Gretel.

Lyrics[]

Kevin: It had a moat of alligators that went all the way around
An indoor-outdoor slide, and a merry-go-round
It had a zip-line, a ball pit, a table for ping-pong
Fred (spoken): I think perhaps you might be remembering this wrong.

Kevin: We were the envy of all of our friends
Fred (spoken): You may be looking at this through a nostalgic lens.
Kevin (spoken, one line): Maybe.

Kevin: But I know we had a fort out here in the woods
It was not accessible by map or compass
A secret place in our neighborhood
Where we could get away from things and really cause a rumpus

With a little bit of work, it could be our new lair
Add a computer station and a comfy chair
A place we could decide upon our marching order
Could our old fort be our new headquarters?
I think our old fort could be our new headquarters

We're going to have a fort out here in the woods
We'll have a hideout, a homebase
An inner sanctum―
