— Belle, at the end of her videos, For Whom the Belle Trolls | ||
Belle Trollze[2] is the main antagonist of the Hamster & Gretel episode "For Whom the Belle Trolls". She is a young woman who wants to make it big on the internet, but didn't get a lot of views until she made claims about Hamster and Gretel being mean. From that moment, Belle began spreading false rumors about the superhero duo, as well as editing recorded footage to make Hamster and Gretel look bad.
Physical appearance[]
Belle is a young woman with light skin and a slender build. She has long, wavy blonde hair, blue eyes with slanted eyelashes, flat eyebrows, and a pointed nose. She wears a white sweater with a pink collar, a teal green skirt held by a brown belt, gray boots, and a purple headband. She also wears light red lipstick, gold earrings and a golden necklace.
Personality[]
As a social media influencer, Belle is portrayed as considerably vain, only caring about her mission in becoming popular and famous. She is overly fond of attention and has no qualms with how she may acquire it, leading to her making up various false accusation of the local town heroes with forged video evidence to support her lies. She is crafty too, being able to manipulate people with wordplay leading them to self incrimination. Belle competes in the online world with her sights solely on her goals, and she'll use any dirty means to acquire it no matter how many lives she ruins; after all, controversies get views.
Skills and abilities[]
Belle doesn't have any superpowers, but being a media user, she has cunning prowess in video editing and public speaking. Belle's achievement in villainy is how she handles her computer and camera, being able to turn Hamster & Gretel's acts of nobility into heinous crimes and how she heavily encrypts her files in her system because she is cautious around hackers. Also, she is an expert in public communication. During the talk show interview she bombarded Gretel with questions that made her stumble with her words and prevented her from giving a clear answer, before tricking Gretel into admitting to her false crimes by using Gretel's one true crime of "resisting arrest" against her.
History[]
Season 1[]
Belle wanted to be a social media influencer. She tried daily makeup tutorials, livestream videos, fashion blogs, movie reviews, and editorials, but her views never reached above double digits. She had her own fan page, complete with a blog, chat, fan art, and merchandise. Belle finally had her big break when she tried posting a fake troll video of Hamster and Gretel. After this, she continued editing increasingly unauthentic images and videos of them until her views reached into the millions. Hamster and Gretel tried continuing to do good, and even posted a video addressing her false claims, but she edited it to make it seem like they were insulting her instead. Because of their bad press, the police started targeting them, causing them to have to flee after they caught a bank robber. Hamster and Gretel went to a talk show with Veronica Hill and Belle to try to convince them of their innocence, but Belle's manipulative questions broke them, destroying their self-confidence and causing them to agree to being arrested for resisting arrest.
Meanwhile, Fred hacked into her computer to steal the original footage. With the help of Bailey and the rest of the Hamster & Gretel Fan Club, they decrypted all of the unedited footage. All of them went to the TV studio and confronted Belle with the original footage, restoring Hamster and Gretel's confidence in themselves. Belle was arrested shortly after for being an unlicensed cosmetologist.

Trivia[]
- Belle's behavior appears to resemble that of a typical tea channel: a social media account (commonly on Twitter, YouTube or Instagram) reporting on internet gossip ("tea" being a slang term for gossip). Tea channels tend to be controversial for building an ecosystem based on drama, and escalating them to scandalous levels, and some particularly bad ones may even make up their own rumors to incite more drama.
- Given that she's voiced by Karalynn Dunton, Belle spreading false rumors about Hamster and Gretel could also be likened to an incident in which Karalynn jokingly insisted on TikTok that Dan Povenmire is the creator of the Minions of Illumination's Despicable Me franchise. This has since become a running gag on Dan Povenmire's social media accounts.
