What's the matter? Never seen a sentient bouncy castle before?

— Bouncy Castle

The Bouncy Castle is an antagonist from the episode "Birthday Besties". It was the true culprit behind the thrashed birthday parties of recent times, seeking revenge after being jumped on so carelessly by various children. It was mistakenly made sentient due to accidentally being given superpowers by the same aliens that already bestowed Hamster and Gretel with superpowers.

Physical appearance[]

The Bouncy Castle appears to be mostly green of color, with four blue and white-striped towers at the front and two at the back, and a yellow curtain wall gate with a green gateway arc inbetween the two central towers at the front. The towers are tipped with orange, yellow and white orbs, with the corner towers' orbs also having red protrusions tipped with small yellow flags. This, and the towers' pattern and coloration, make these towers resemble birthday candles on a cake; although the orbs of the two central towers at the front are tipped with blue, white and cyan swirls connecting to each other and the yellow gate. The castle's interior still has green walls, as well as a red floor and blue and yellow supports. The castle also has an inner gate with chainlink-patterned strings and yellow sides that can be zipped up.

Since it is sentient, the Bouncy Castle's front doubles as a face; the orbs of the central towers at the front are its eyes, and the green gate arcs above and below the entrance act as its lips.

Personality[]

The Bouncy Castle wanted to destroy all birthday parties because of previous children carelessly jumping inside itself, revealing a vengeful edge. It especially hates it when said children do so with sharp things on their feet, such as unclipped toenails or shoes with cleats; as these could potentially pop its rubber skin.

Skills and abilities[]

The Bouncy Castle is able to completely thrash birthday parties, including Bailey's. It does so when no one is looking; as such there isn't a record of how it is able to thrash birthday parties. Given that thrashed birthday party debris is shown in its interior, it could presumably move around and gobble up some of the party decorations.

The Castle could also close the inner gate inside its mouth to trap anyone inside, as shown when Gretel went inside the Bouncy Castle to investigate. Its bounciness prevented her from just punching her way out of it. The Bouncy Castle can also close its mouth and hold its breath to prevent itself from deflating, in case anyone tries doing so by unplugging it from its fan.

History[]

Background[]

At the unknown point of time, it was made and kids bounced on it mercilessly, some with unclipped toenail or cleated shoes. During one party for twin siblings, two weeks prior to the events of "Birthday Besties", the aliens came to the party and were about to bestow the twins with superpowers. However, the male alien spilled his orange juice during the process, and accidentally gave superpowers to the bouncy castle instead, causing it to gain sentience and recall all the times it was being bounced on. Although it cannot remember how it came alive itself, the castle believes it must have some sort of magnificent purpose.

Season 1[]

In "Birthday Besties", news reports birthday parties are being by unidentified scoundrel. Later, Gretel begins to search for the party pooper and thinks that it is the angry clown, given his presence at previous birthday parties and his unpleasant-looking disposition. As Gretel and Kevin are interrogating the angry clown and realize he's innocent, the actual culprit destroys Bailey's party while they weren't looking. Gretel and Kevin come back when they notice the noise of the destruction. Upon Kevin noticing a trail of destroyed party material inside the castle, Hamster and Gretel follow said trail, which is when the Bouncy Castle reveals itself to be alive and traps the superhero duo.

After the Bouncy Castle explains its motivation to destroy birthday parties, Kevin desperately tries to get Hamster and Gretel out of it, as the partygoers are beginning to notice him and the Bouncy Castle. After it is apparent that the castle is too bouncy for Hamster and Gretel to punch through, Kevin gets the idea to deflate it, disconnecting it from the fan; but the Bouncy Castle prevents itself from getting deflated by holding its breath, so upon Gretel's suggestion, Kevin tries to make the Bouncy Castle laugh. He initially allows the angry clown to give it a shot, but when the clown admits he's not all that humorous, Kevin improvises by attempting to throw a pie in the clown's face. The clown evades it, leading into an elaborate series of events that eventually results into Kevin getting pie in the face instead. This is enough for the Bouncy Castle to laugh and get itself deflated, ultimately getting defeated and setting Hamster and Gretel free.
