Darren Dark is a character in Hamster & Gretel that appears in the episode "Saturday Homecoming Fever". He's the host of an online video tutorial series called Darren Dark's Disco Dancing Demo, in which he instructs the hottest dance moves from 1973.
Darren Dark appears to be impatient, as he angrily yells when his pupils don't immediately follow his instructions.

Darren Dark is first shown in "Saturday Homecoming Fever", as Kevin has watched his videos in preparation for the disco-themed homecoming school dance that same evening. He's already shown to angrily yell while Kevin was waiting for instructions. Throughout said homecoming dance, held in the school's PE auditorium, an imaginary floating head of Darren Dark occasionally pops up next to Kevin whenever he needs advice (such as when interacting with Hiromi; Darren Dark's advice usually boils down to "when in doubt, boogie-boogie-boogie", and still yells angrily when Kevin hesitates (unless it's about slow dancing, which Darren claims it's easy to the point he wouldn't yell about it).
Darren Dark's advice to "boogie-boogie-boogie" is actually helpful to Kevin when The Destructress and FistPuncher arrive at the dance to wreck it, as he challenges the two to a dance battle (with Hiromi joining him on her accord), in order for Hamster and Gretel to sneak into the auditorium with Fred without the villains noticing. As the dance battle commences, Darren Dark's instructions appear to have merit, as Kevin and Hiromi appear to be incredibly good at dancing. As it turns out, Hiromi has watched Darren Dark's Disco Dancing Demo in preparation for the homecoming dance as well, explaining why she and Kevin are so in sync compared to FistPuncher and The Destructress.
