The Giant Otter is character in the Hamster & Gretel episode "Cutie and the Beast". Once an ordinary sea otter, it grew to ginormous size due to a stray amplification ray, accidentally fired by The Amplifier, and then reflected by a satellite.
Despite its size, the otter remains adorable, to the point that Hamster and Gretel can't do anything against it.
Physical appearance[]
The Giant Otter, reunited with its normal-sized parents.
Like most otters, the Giant Otter is a long-bodied mustelid. Despite living at seaside, this otter takes more cues from a river otter, having a brownish gray fur on its head and back, but light gray fur for its snout and belly. Also unlike either kind of otter, this one has small buck teeth, reminiscent of rodents (which are herbivores), even though otters are carnivores with a diet of mostly fish.
History[]
During a battle with The Amplifier, his growth ray accidentally fired a shot into the sky. The beam bounced off a satellite and hit a random otter in the ocean, creating the Giant Otter.
The Giant Otter entered the city, causing frightened and adored responses from the populace. A policeman tried to figure out what the Giant Otter was looking for, but no one could figure out what the Giant Otter was saying. Hamster and Gretel showed up to fight him, but realized that they couldn't punch him due to his cuteness. Kevin quickly pulled a tapestry over its face, allowing Hamster and Gretel to finally tie him up.

Hamster realized that he could understand the Giant Otter, since Otterese is linguistically similar to Hamsterish, and both are derived from Walrus. Hamster carried the Giant Otter to the beach, where his parents were waiting for him.
