"Last Train to Dullsville" is the first segment of the twelfth episode of the second season of Hamster & Gretel, and the eightieth episode overall. It is paired with "Fred of State" and premiered on Disney Channel on January 12, 2025.[2]

While boarding a train heading to Dullsville, Dave is mistaken for a secret agent and receives a briefcase. When Kevin, Hamster, and Gretel notice the real secret agent, they mistake him for an enemy and try keeping him away from Dave.

Plot[]

The episode starts during a mission for a spy organization to steal a briefcase from the lair of the villain Ludwig Von Shrute, located on a snowy mountain. In spite of Agent Dash Dash Seven losing the briefcase due to his lack of skiing experience, and Agent Dash Dash Nine losing it again after a hang gliding accident, the briefcase is retrieved successfully by Agent Dash Dash Three, who is tasked to then give the briefcase to Agent Dash Dash Two, codenamed "The Handyman", on a train station heading to Dullsville. From there, the briefcase lands in the hands of Dave, who is mistaken for The Handyman while taking his family on a train ride to Dullsville. However, the real agent begins to pursue them, prompting Kevin and Gretel to keep Dave away from the agent.

After Dave receives two more briefcases, he is granted access to the engine, and is told to deliver the briefcases to their contact, the train conductor. This allows Hamster and Gretel to confront The Handyman, who clarifies that he is not villainous and reveals that the briefcases contain a dangerous super weapon from Ludwig Von Shrute, and must deliver it to the conductor before Ludwig gets it back. It appears that the conductor has retrieved the briefcases from Dave; unfortunately, it is revealed that it's actually The Conductor, a.k.a. Ludwig Von Shrute himself, who disguised himself as the train conductor to intercept the mission and get his briefcases back. The symphony conductor villain reveals his super weapon to be a large amount of music note-shaped drones controlled by musical conduction, capable of shooting a laser that could destroy the moon when Ludwig reaches his crescendo. He sends the drones after the four, which Hamster and Gretel have difficulty disabling. Meanwhile, the engineers allow Dave to use the controls, only for the ecstatic train enthusiast to set the water pressure too high and cause water to shoot out from the train. Kevin then realizes that the drones are vulnerable to water and has Hamster and Gretel destroy them, leading to Ludwig Von Shrute's defeat.
