"Lorraine, Rattle, and Roll" is the second segment of the eleventh episode of the second season of Hamster & Gretel, and the seventy-ninth episode overall. It is paired with "The Search for Super Guy" and premiered on Disney Channel on October 19, 2024.[2]
Nordle's aunt Lorraine drops by on his birthday just to pick up her guitar from her band gig, which was unknowingly modified by her brother to trap her in an alternate dimension.
Plot[]
Gretel and Bailey arrive at Nordle's house to celebrate his birthday. However, the festivities are interrupted when Nordle's aunt Lorraine arrives to visit. Disliking his aunt's carefree personality, Nordle is less than thrilled to see her while Gretel and Bailey's interest is piqued, especially when they learn that she was once part of a band. Meanwhile, Tobor realizes that he has forgotten to purchase a sardine cake for Nordle's birthday and rushes to a local bakery to retrieve the last one, only to engage in a wrestling match with El Luchador, who also wants the cake.
When questioned by Nordle, Lorraine discloses that she wishes to retrieve her old guitar, but when she plays a riff on it, she is sucked into an alternate dimension thanks to Exclamation creating a device that transports her there due to tiring of her rambunctiousness. After Gretel and Bailey encourage Nordle to rescue his aunt, Nordle gets himself trapped in the same dimension, where Lorraine explains to him that they have much in common despite their differences, expressing her feelings towards Exclamation through her hit song from 1996. Upon bonding over their shared dislike of olives, the pair realize that the tin of olives in the salad bar Exclamation inexplicably included in the alternate dimension contains a switch that activates an exit portal. Once it activates, Lorraine throws Nordle through due to the portal's time limit while Nordle uses a car jack Lorraine had given him earlier to keep the portal open long enough for her to exit.
