Mary Mitosis is the antagonist from the episode "Too Many Crooks". She is a geneticist who had altered her genes to make herself stronger, faster, and more narcissistic. Believing she is better than everyone else and annoyed at the incompetence of her peers, she experimented on herself in order to allow herself to duplicate much like a cell during mitosis. Gretel's punches don't work on her, since the thermal kinetic energy from those only causes her to duplicate much faster than usual, making Mary a challenging adversary to defeat.

Physical appearance

Mary has darker skin and a wider build. She wears a white, knee-length lab coat with Mⁿ on it, likely representing the mathematical concept of "Mary to the n power." She has a pink top and maroon pants, as well as black loafers.

Personality

Mary altered her own genetics to increase her narcissism. Because of this, Mary believes she is better than everyone at anything, and wants to replace everyone with herself.

Weaknesses

• Cold - When exposed to extreme cold, the replication process will reverse, causing multiple Marys to combine back into one.

History

Mary is a brilliant geneticist. Using her knowledge, she changed her own genes to increase her strength, speed, and narcissism. Because of this, she believed she was better than everyone at doing everything, and created three more copies of herself over the course of several days. Mary decided to create thousands of copies of herself in order to take over the entire city.

To do this, Mary began robbing local businesses to fund her efforts. However, when Gretel showed up to stop her, they found out that the thermal kinetic energy of Gretel's punches and heat vision was enough to supercharge the splitting process. Because of this, she was able to multiply until there were 51 Marys. However, Gretel realized that she could reverse the splitting process using extreme cold. With Bailey's help, she flew the Marys into the ice cold water of the polar bear exhibit at the zoo, causing the Marys to combine back into one.
