"My Hammie Vice" is the second segment of the fifth episode of the second season of Hamster & Gretel, and the sixty-eighth episode overall. It is paired with "The More The Meteor" and premiered on Disney Channel on September 28, 2024.[1] This episode has been released early on September 18, 2024 on Disney+.

Animals at the zoo are being stolen by the Syndicate, a criminal organization that has eluded the gang for weeks. Hamster, who feels frustrated that his ideas are constantly being shot down, is assigned to go undercover as a new member of the Syndicate.

Plot[]

Kevin, Fred, Hamster, and Gretel are brainstorming ideas for capturing a criminal organization known as Syndicate that has been stealing animals from the zoo. When Hamster attempts to make suggestions, the others do not see them as valid, instead settling on having Hamster go undercover as a new member of the Syndicate. During the operation, however, Hamster befriends Mr. Large, the organization's leader, and the two pridefully execute more animal thefts via Hamster's ideas.

Eventually, Hamster contacts Gretel with information regarding Sydnicate's next move, but when she arrives, she is trapped in a force field due to Hamster making Sydnicate aware of her arrival. Dr. Hawthorne, the owner of the zoo, is then revealed to be the one committing the animal thefts as part of her plan to sell them to eccentric villains as pets. Before she can proceed to the next phase of her plan, however, Hamster reveals that he had a decoy force field prepared, freeing Gretel. After defeating Syndicate by riling the animals up, the group apologizes for not taking Hamster's ideas more seriously.

News report[]

Veronica Hill: This is Veronica Hill, Action News, standing outside our city's beloved zoo where a daring late-night robbery has ruffled some feathers. With me is zoo director Dr. Katherine Hawthorne.
Dr. Hawthorne: The thieves stole only our rarest animals: Ollie the ostrich, Ignazio the ibex, Antonio the anteater! (in a frantic tone) Mama's coming to find you, my babies! (sobbing)
Veronica Hill: Thank you, Dr. Hawthorne. Police are saying this theft is the work of The Syndicate, a shadowy crime organization. But one thing's for certain, the police can't bear to watch this kind of criminal activity. They're on the case and won't be lion around. Owl keep you informed of any developments. (camera pans to zebra) Zebra.

Fred: I think we can do better.
Hamster: I have a suggestion. How about you not shoot down every idea of mine?
Kevin; Hmm.
Gretel: I don't know.
Fred: I think we can do better.
Hamster Fine. Can I at least wear a mustache?
Kevin; Hmm.
Gretel: I don't know.
Fred: I think we can do better.
Hamster: Now remember, just say things a tough guy would say. Hey fellas. Guess what, I had cereal this morning...WITHOUT MILK.
Shady Limo Guy: Get in. The boss wants to see ya. And you don't want to keep the boss waiting. (window rolls up, then rolls back down) Because he's got a chiropractor appointment. (window rolls up, then rolls back down) And you don't want to prolong his back pain. (window rolls up, then rolls back down) Because he gets very grumpy.
Kevin: Now...we wait.
Fred: You got any other cop movie clichés you want to say?
Kevin: I'm taking you off the case!
