Race Against Time is a song performed in the episode "Math Punch" during Hamster and Gretel's attempt to save the city from a cellphone tower-bound energy ball created by Rodney Thunderpants. It later plays again when Gretel uses math to save her brother from falling into Dead Person's Gulch on a runaway steam train.
Lyrics[]
Now, here's an anecdote I've got
About a locomotive
Just to note, it may sound made-up
But it's true
We're not sure of his motive
But this villain is devoted
To a cowboy-themed aesthetic
That we're all still working through
He's a lightning-powered cowboy
Let's just wrap our brains around it
Though the imagery's confusing,
I guess that's just what we've got
We're on a crash course towards disaster
And this train is going faster
'Cause the brakes are broke, the throttle's down
and we've only got one shot
(pace quickens)
It's a race against time
(It's time to save the city)
With power on the line
(But they both are itty-bitty)
Oops, they hit that sign
Going to shift to overdrive
Don't want to turn the clock back to 1895
(It's a race against time)
(spoken interlude)
It's a race against time
(Mathematically exciting)
With power on the line
(Look at her dividing!)
She's also multiplying
They've got a brother to save
And a train to outrun
But first, carry all the ones (wow!)
(spoken interlude)
(Whoa-whoa whoa)
(Whoa-whoa whoa)
(Whoa-whoa whoa)
(Whoa-whoa whoa)
