Random Rings is a series of shorts of about 1-2 minutes, produced by Disney's social media, and occasionally featured on the Disney Channel. The shorts feature characters making random phone calls to strangers. While the shorts most commonly center around characters from Big City Greens, characters from other franchises, such as Phineas and Ferb and DuckTales, are featured as well, and crossovers are commonplace. The series begun in the second half of 2019, in which Cricket Green of Big City Greens calls up a local black belt.
Hamster & Gretel has received one Random Rings short on December 9, 2023: a crossover with Phineas and Ferb, it features Dr. Doofenshmirtz calling Hamster and Gretel, hoping to make a deal that they can replace Perry the Platypus as his new nemeses. It is currently the only Hamster & Gretel-related Random Rings short so far.
