Tchotchke Jones is a villain from the Hamster & Gretel episode "The Bottle Episode". He's the owner and shopkeeper of a small store in town called Tchotchke's Tchotchkes, which, as the name states, sells a variety of trinkets. He's also an avid collector of impossible bottles, some of which are put on sale in his shop.

He has been shrinking various landmarks from around the area (including most recently, the riverboat The Muddy Bess) with a shrinking ray that instantly puts targets in a bottle, using a poorly designed mask to conceal his face.

Personality[]

Tchotchke Jones appears to be prideful of his work, no matter if it's done well or shoddily, and as such, he gets mad when anyone insults his poorly designed mask; he attempts to hide these frustrations rather unsuccessfully. Much like Fred, Tchotchke is also an avid collector of impossible bottles.

Skills and abilities[]

With his Shrink-O-Bottle ray, Tchotchke can shrink anyone or anything to a size capable of fitting inside of a glass bottle.

History[]

Season 1[]

As a collector of impossible bottles, Tchotchke wanted to expand his collection. He used his Shrink-O-Bottle ray to shrink Tallington Tower, the Statue of Finerty, the state's second-largest bag of coffee, and the Muddy Bess, among other landmarks. He put them in his shop. However, after about a month, Hamster, Gretel, and Kevin visited his store. They saw his mask, but before they could do anything, Tchotchke used his Shrink-O-Bottle ray to shrink them into the bottle with the Muddy Bess.

Fred entered the store, but the impossible bottles enraptured her. After expressing her love of tiny objects in glass bottles, Tchotchke led her on a tour of the store. Meanwhile, Kevin suggested that they use the steamboat to create fog so they could write a message on the glass. They succeeded, but Fred seemingly thought that Tchotchke had simply made a complex fogging bottle that could miraculously spell words. Between the fog and the air currents generated by Hamster and Gretel's flying, a storm began brewing in the bottle. Gretel then suggested turning it into a hurricane powerful enough to blow the cork off of the bottle. Concurrently, Fred thanked Tchotchke for showing her around and seemingly exited the store.

However, she then unexpectedly confronted Tchotchke, Sherlock Holmes-style. She noted the half-eaten bag of Rodents' Choice walnuts in the trash, the fingerprints on the outside of the bottle with the Tallington Tower, and the Mansonite autographing pen with a titanium body with chew marks in it. When Tchotchke attempted to shrink her, she cleverly dodged it, allowing the ray to hit the mirror behind her and reflect to trap Tchotchke inside a bottle.
