Tina is a reformed antagonist in Hamster & Gretel. She is a spy from the new, technologically advanced nation of Bolgylvania, who had the mission to kidnap Roman Carter and have him design a video game for Bolgylvania, as the country's video game industry is lacking. In order to accomplish this, she posed as new student at Gretel's school and became fast friends with Roman's daughter, Bailey.
Tina appears to be a Bolgylvanian mirror-counterpart to Gretel, being similar to Gretel in attitude and clicking well with Bailey when meeting her for the first time. Similarly, her pet, Gerbil mirrors Gretel's pet Hamster, and her best friend Grobla mirrors Bailey.
Physical appearance[]
Tina is a little girl about the same height as Gretel and Bailey with light-brown skin, brown eyes, and spiky dark-brown hair held back with a blue headband.
When working for the Bolgylvanian government, Tina most often wears a grayish blue suit with a zipper, red-and-orange shoulders, and deep blue kneepads, as well as a deep blue belt with a light blue buckle, and pinkish red boots with orange straps and white soles. The grayish suit appears to be an exoskeleton filled with Bolgylvanian technology; this includes six mechanical tendrils with claws, which extend from the back of the suit, specifically the six circular shapes and a dark gray, rectangular plate located there. The boots also appear to be rocket boots, with jet thrusters hidden underneath the soles, which Tina can use for flying. Both the tendrils and the rocket boots can be activated using a gauntlet of Bolgylvanian technology.
Tina also has a more casual outfit, shown when first introduced in Eastside Elementary School. This outfit consists of a red shirt underneath a blue dress with a rainbow imprinted on it and a deep blue band, white socks, and pinkish red shoes with white soles, but without straps or laces. Like how Gretel has a carrier for Hamster, Tina has a carrier for Gerbil, though unlike Gretel's baby carrier that has holes for Hamster's limbs, Tina's carrier is an orange pouch that resembles some sort of backpack, without any holes for Gerbil's limbs. This carrier can also deploy her exosuit in an instant, similar to how a parachute pack can deploy a parachute.

Personality[]
When initially introduced, Tina is shown to be cheerful, kind-hearted, and sweet; however, she is also shown to be combative and impulsive, overall much like Gretel. Comparing her and her best friend Grobla, she describes herself as the "fun one" to Grobla's "nice one".
Tina is also shown to be prideful of her tiny nation of Bolgylvania, and as a spy working for the Bolgylvanian government, would do anything for her country. This includes activities that are typically seen as questionable and criminal activities outside of Bolgylvania, such as abducting people and putting them under Bolgylvanian servitude. However, Tina is not opposed to take a morally preferable alternative if such an opportunity is being presented to her.
Outside of her friends or employers, Tina is shown to have little regard to other people around her age, as evidenced by her consistently misnaming Bailey's actual best friend Gretel as "Grendel" (and although she correctly calls her alter ego as "American superhero Gretel", this is most likely due to her and Hamster's worldwide fame and reverence instead). She also has shown no qualms with putting Kevin, Hiromi, Fred and Anthony (all four being teenagers) under "indentured servitude" and not allowing them to leave Bolgylvania, describing it as fun for her and her nation, and even reveling in the fact she's taking people against their will.
In her debut episode, Tina appears to have a lonely side. As Grobla has been recruited in a space program that sends her in outer space, Tina laments that without her, she's all alone now, something she keeps repeating throughout said episode. Becoming fast friends with Bailey, who is similar to Grobla much like how Tina is similar to Gretel, may have possibly been to fill this hole in her heart, aside from merely being a means to getting close to Bailey's father Roman.
Skills and abilities[]
Tina's front carrying pouch for Gerbil can transform into a fully armored suit, with several capabilities:
- Boomerang headband - Tina can throw her metal headband as a boomerang weapon.
- Flight - With her rocket boots, Tina is capable of flight.
- Gauntlet - Tina's gauntlet is used to activate her weapons.
- Gloves - Her gloves are capable of super punches.
- Mechanical tentacles - Tina's armor has extendable mechanical tentacles, capable of grabbing and throwing opponents.
History[]
“I left my home and everyone I know. I'm all alone now.” — Tina, "Sleepover with the Enemy" |
TBA
After returning home to her country, Tina was demoted, pelted with chives, and grounded. However, after Bolgylvanian engineers created the game Jellyfish Realtor, she was received an opportunity to win back her honor. With Grobla and Gerbil, she headed to America to kidnap video game testers. They were going to kidnap Kevin, Hiromi, Anthony, and Fred, but were stopped by Hamster and Gretel. However, when she saw how popular their decommissioned shipping arm was as a claw game, she realized they could use that to sell as an arcade game. Gretel suggested they call the next time they had a problem.
Relationships[]
Friends[]
Bailey[]
When Tina met Bailey, they immediately seemed to hit it off. However, Tina was using her to get to her father to be kidnapped and taken back to Bolgylvania. Despite this, Tina expressed that she genuinely enjoyed Bailey, and wanted to take her home as her new best friend. She still loves Bailey after this incident.
Grobla[]
“Well, I had best friend once. Her name is Grobla. She is nice one. Obviously, I am fun one.” — Tina, "Sleepover with the Enemy" |
Grobla is Tina's best friend from Bolgylvania. Unfortunately, the two were separated when Grobla was recruited into the Bolgylvanian space program. When Gretel heard about this, she brought Grobla down from space, reuniting the pair. Tina, Grobla, and Gerbil would team up on later missions as the Bolgylvanian Force.

- Tina is also the first villain to have reformed, as she stopped antagonizing Gretel and aborted the mission (in turn letting Bailey and her dad go) once reunited with Grobla.
- The metal claw appendages on the back of her battle suit may be inspired by Doctor Octopus from the Spider-Man comic series by Marvel, who has similar metal claw appendages.
