The Tri-State Area is the name of the metropolitan area surrounding Hamster and Gretel's city, having made appearances in Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law (as both series take place in another Tri-State Area city named Danville), before appearing in Hamster & Gretel. It was founded by John P. Trystate, who united the Bi-State Area with The Adjacent Area, founded by Otto H. Adjacent. Tri-State Area Unification Day is celebrated on July 15, as revealed in the Phineas and Ferb episode "Hip Hip Parade".
Trivia[]
- Series creator Dan Povenmire has stated that Danville is not the setting for Hamster & Gretel, but it still takes place in the same universe. This is evidenced in "The Nightmarionette", as the eponymous villain strikes the Danville Gold Depository near the episode's climax.
- In the real world, a tri-state area need not encompass whole states. For example, Chicagoland includes several counties in northeast Illinois along with a few in the most northwest part Indiana and one in the most southeast part of Wisconsin.
